St.Ives can be arrived at by two main roads.
Upon leaving the A30 after Hayle and heading towards Lelant,
you can take either the main coastal road through Lelant and into the heart of St.Ives (roads in St.Ives are very narrow), or you can take the back road, known as the 'HR' or 'Holiday route', this road is also know as 'The old coach road'.
The old coach road provides a longer route to Rosebank but avoids the traffic congestion of the Coastal route in summer as well as the narrow streets of St.Ives.

The coastal route will lead through the village of Lelant and into Carbis bay and St.Ives.
You do not need to via off on to any other roads for this route to St.Ives.
The coastal route will lead straight into the centre of St.Ives via Tregenna Hill, this is easily recognisable as being a narrow steep hill with a cross junction.
- At this junction take the left on to the Stennack road, you will now immediately pass through Royal Square, continue on the same road until you meet the small roundabout (next to an old 18 Century school).
- Taking the right exit from the roundabout you will be heading up Bullans Lane and into Ayr, continue up the hill until the end 'T' junction.
- Proceed left and look for the second right, this will bring you on to Carthew Terrace and Rosebank Holiday Flats.

The route will lead you through the farmland/moorland countryside surrounding St.Ives.
Please follow any signs leading to St.Ives via this route.
The old coach road will bring you into the top of St.Ives, proceed to enter St.Ives and head for the centre of town. You will find that the road you are on will be the Stennack road that leads from the top of town to the centre of town.
- Please remain on this road and continue to head towards the centre of town until you reach the mini roundabout where you will turn left. The roundabout is noticeable through it position next to the old Stennack school (18th century).
- Taking the left exit from the roundabout you will be heading up Bullans Lane and into Ayr, continue up the hill until the end 'T' junction.
- Proceed left and look for the second right, this will bring you on to Carthew Terrace and Rosebank Holiday Flats.
